Jessica Kennedy is an assistant professor of management at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. Her research lies at the intersection of three topics: gender, power and status, and ethical behavior. She is especially interested in the role that ethical values play in shaping women’s and men’s career decisions.
Professor Kennedy has published in outlets such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Research in Organizational Behavior, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Business Ethics Quarterly. Her research has received media attention from outlets such as Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Strategy + Business, NPR, Fast Company, and New York Magazine.
She holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to entering academia, she worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
