Jem Stone

Jem Stone is a First Nations woman, educator, and wellness practitioner with mixed heritage from around the globe who is living on Wurundjeri lands. She is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, decolonized spaces for healing and integrating original knowledge systems into education and wellness spaces through connection and decolonized learning methods. Her training and experience are vast and span across 20 years, including qualifications in We Al-li, Wayapa Wuurrk, Rebirthing Breathwork, CBT, yoga, meditation, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Jem specializes in facilitating workshops on intergenerational and historical trauma, anti-racism and cultural safety, embodied practices, and Earth connection.
Jem believes that reconnection to the Earth, culturally informed trauma-integrated healing approach to care and practice, and cross-cultural training in all services are integral in creating true appreciation of the resilience and endurance of First Nations cultures as a way to inform holistic well-being, creating more equitable opportunities for Australia’s First Nations peoples to self-determine and thrive as sovereign within a modern colonial context. Also, that structural change in the way governments, educational institutions, primary health, and services working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is needed for better overall outcomes.
