Becki Cohn-Vargas, Ed.D., is a leading scholar in the field of identity safety. With a rich and varied career of over 35 years, she has contributed significantly as a Spanish bilingual teacher, principal, curriculum director, and superintendent in urban, rural, and suburban pre-K–12 educational settings. Dr. Cohn-Vargas has coauthored four books, several book chapters, and numerous articles on identity-safe teaching and has produced films and consulted with schools across the U.S.
