Francesca Polletta
Francesca Polletta, Ph.D., is a professor of sociology at the University of California, Irvine. She has written prize-winning books on storytelling in protest and politics and on radical democracy in social movements. She has a book forthcoming from University of Chicago Press on how Americans cooperate across difference, and is working on two others: one on the cultural impacts of social movements and one on the surprising limits of personal storytelling for bringing about social change.
