Tim Desmond, LMFT is an author, meditation teacher, and distinguished faculty scholar at Antioch University. He is co-founder of Morning Sun Mindfulness Center, a retreat center and intentional community in Altead, NH. He is author of Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy, The Self-Compassion Skills Workbook, and How to Stay Human in a F*cked Up World: Mindfulness Practices for Real Life. After a difficult childhood, he began studying under Thich Nhat Hanh at Plum Village monastery in France. He now lectures and leads retreats globally, and runs Peer Collective, a new company whose mission is to make mental health support radically accessible through online peer counseling.
