Roxanne Felig
Roxanne Felig is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Florida. She investigates attitudes and perceptions toward women, which she approaches from multiple perspectives: men’s attitudes toward women, men and women’s perceptions of other women, and women’s self-perceptions. By understanding how women are impacted by their position in society, she aims to identify mechanisms that can ultimately make women’s lives better (e.g., reducing dehumanizing perceptions of women). Her research incorporates social media to understand how these processes play out, and are exacerbated in, virtual spaces.
