Melinda Jackson, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health in the School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University. She is a registered psychologist, specializing in the treatment of sleep disorders, and an honorary research fellow at the Institute for Breathing and Sleep, Austin Health. She completed her Ph.D. in neuropsychology and sleep in 2009, after which she took up a postdoctoral position at the Sleep and Performance Research Center, Washington State University, USA from 2009 to 2011. Her main research interest is in memory function and mood in obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep disorders, and the role of treatment for sleep for improving mental health and cognitive outcomes.
