Laura Pinger completed her M.S. in communication sciences and disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently a Senior Outreach Specialist at the Center for Healthy Minds (CHM). She has over 25 years of experience teaching students ages three to twenty-one. Laura is also affiliated with the UW Health Mindfulness Program and has taught mindfulness-based classes with adults for 15 years.
At CHM she develops, teaches, and trains others to teach mindfulness-based curricula in school and community settings as part of translational research investigating attention, emotion regulation, and well-being. As part of that effort, CHM is exploring the impact of teaching compassion, kindness, and empathy to enhance self-care and connection.
