Brittany R. Collins is author of Learning from Loss: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Supporting Grieving Students, and is the founder of Grief-Responsive Teaching. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed and public-facing articles in such outlets as The Washington Post; Education Week; Edutopia; Inside Higher Ed; Harvard University’s Usable Knowledge; We Need Diverse Books; and English Journal of NCTE, among other outlets, and has worked with students of all ages through Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education; Smith College; Boston University; New York University; Write the World; and Race Project Kansas City.
