Alberto Rinaldi
Alberto Rinaldi, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral researcher in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at Lund University.
Alberto holds a master’s in human rights law from the American University in Cairo (2012) and a Ph.D. in international law from Sciences Po Paris (2019).
He has worked on the role of human rights in state of emergency, the intersection between humanitarian law and human rights law, and the balance between counterterrorism and fundamental freedoms. Alberto has taught a wide range of courses in public international law, humanitarian law, and human rights at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Since August 2022, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Law Faculty, Lund University.
His work bridges traditional legal scholarship with emerging disruptive technologies (EDT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of global conflicts and of evolving security challenges.
