Sonja Lyubomirsky, Ph.D., is professor of psychology at UC Riverside and the author of the best-selling books The How of Happiness and The Myths of Happiness. Dr. Lyubomirsky is a leader in the field of well-being science. Lyubomirsky’s research focuses on the benefits of happiness, why some people are happier than others, and how happiness can be durably increased. A graduate of Harvard and Stanford, Dr. Lyubomirsky has won many honors, including the Faculty of the Year Award (twice) and Distinguished Research Lecturer Award from UC Riverside, a Templeton Positive Psychology Prize, a Science of Generosity grant, and a Psychology & Philosophy grant.
