I am grateful for my friend Colleen, who pointed out that the flowering trees on our campus remind her of…ballerinas!  What a lovely image.
Martha

I am grateful for the times my grown daughter calls and just wants to talk.
Linda

I am happy sitting at my home in the morning and drinking a coffee. And reading abaout happiness.
Marc

When I broke my middle finger, I realized how marvelously our hands have been made: my other fingers so readily came to my aid. Today I resolve to be grateful for that which I take for granted.

I’m grateful this website is available for education, especially when curiosity strikes my mind.
Shahriyarkhabushani

So grateful for my daughter’s visit so we can fight our way back from hard times. Grateful for fortitude, returning health and graduation!
Foresthouse

I’m thankful for this site where participants teach each other an attitude of gratitude.  When we look for the good in our lives, the “other stuff” pales in importance and in getting us down.
Phoebe

I’m grateful for a relaxing night at home.

I am grateful for all the spring flowers that have begun blooming in our gardens.  They bring much happiness to us and to our neighbors.
P. Bode

I’m happy that my husband had a very promising job interview this week.

I’m grateful for cranes and construction sites and garbage trucks. Seeing how happy my little boys get watching this stuff makes me happy, too.
Grateful Oakland Dad

I am grateful for the fresh air that I can breathe.  I am thankful for sharing this earth with all of the amazing creatures that inhabit it.
Middle Aged Mom

I am grateful to have a loving and supporting family and an interesting job.

I am thankful because my 14 years old old, who has some learning challenges, finished his 69 science questions.

I am grateful for “raising happiness” and your wonderful emails.  They have improved my life, an in turn, hopefully everyone I interact with.
Jackie

I’m grateful for the rain. Not only do we need it, but being stuck inside has sharpened my kids’ fort-making skills

I’m grateful that my son, age 9, likes being outdoors, and knows how to express himself. [This pic] is a self-portrait he took on a backpacking trip last summer.
Jenny

I am grateful that I am still able to laugh after a tough day, having the ability to love after being hurt, and never doubt kindness and compassion is not a choice!
Cheri

I am so thankful for the way my kitty cat meows through her purr.  It is such a beautiful sound of loving contentment.
Martha

I’m grateful I live in a culture that allows me free thought and expression, unlike so many others on our planet.

I am grateful that our sons and daughters make every effort to travel from afar several times a year so their children can be a part of our lives.
Nonna and Grandpa

I am thankful for this delicious coffee.
Irma

I am thankful for my sister Norma who is unselfish, generous, loving, and loyal. She treats others the way we would all like to be treated.
Phoebe

I’m grateful that my difficult second quarter of grad school is almost over and that I’m passing and my family is mostly doing fine with these new demands.
Megan Zalkan

Sometimes I hear Christine Carter’s voice in my head—urging me to be friendlier or braver (like from posts like this one: http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/raising_happiness/post/happiness_is_being_socially_connected). Today it prodded me to make friends with another family traveling on the same cross-country flight. I guess I have to say that I’m grateful that this site has made me want to be braver and friendlier.
