Spencer Spellman

Spencer Spellman is a writer, editor, and photographer. His photography and writing, at the intersection of travel, culture, and the outdoors, has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Condé Nast Traveler, AFAR, Sunset, Outside Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, and Travel + Leisure.

His travels around the world inspired his own inner journey, and an exploration of his family’s multi-generational history, which led him to return to school to pursue a master of science in positive psychology at Arizona State University. This, combined with his undergrad degree in philosophy, has led him to ask questions and explore topics that challenge historical systems and inspire people to live more meaningful lives.
