Robin Nabi
Robin Nabi, Ph.D., is a professor of communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
She earned her A.B. in government from Harvard and her M.A./Ph.D. in communication from the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. She has been a professor for over 25 years, having published over 100 articles and book chapters in the areas of media influence and emotion. She has co-edited two books (SAGE Handbook of Media Processes and Effects; Emotions in the Digital World), and she is a fellow of the International Communication Association. She teaches and does research in the areas of media psychology, influence, and health, with particular expertise in emotional processes. Her current research investigates emotions around media use and how to harness media use to enhance well-being.
