Nils Mallock

Nils Mallock is a final-year PhD candidate in behavioral science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and research fellow at King’s College London, War Studies Department (International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation). His research examines engagement and disengagement pathways for political violence and peaceful activism in conflict-affected environments, with a specific focus on the Middle East. He specializes in empirical fieldwork and quantitative methods, involving various large-scale psychometric surveys, experiments, in addition to interviews with members of armed groups and activists in the West Bank, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. His work has been presented in academic publications, media reports, documentaries, conferences, and policy reports. He regularly briefs the U.K. Foreign Office on policy related matters.
