Judith Matloff is an award-winning journalist who worked for 20 years as a staff foreign correspondent. Her last posts were in Moscow and in Africa, where she was the bureau chief of theChristian Science Monitor. She teaches war reporting at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
