Deanna Geddes

Deanna Geddes received her PhD from Purdue University and is Chair of the Department of Human Resource Management at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. She is committed to helping people “think new thoughts in ways that enhance their professional and personal lives.” Her research interests focus on workplace emotion and performance appraisal practices.

Dr. Geddes’s work has been featured on NBC Nightly News and several major media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, New York and Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and the BBC. Her studies and research models appear in Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, Management Communication Quarterly, and Aggressive Behavior, among others.

Deanna is recognized as a pioneer in information technology use in the classroom and the recipient of several teaching honors including the Fox Undergraduate Teaching Award, the Musser Award for Leadership in Teaching, and Teacher of the Year for both full-time and part-time MBA programs. She has served as a management consultant to government, financial, pharmaceutical, insurance, and retail corporations.
