PROFILE

Brian Villa, DrPH, MPH, MSW, is a postdoctoral scholar with the Institute of Human Development at UC Berkeley. He serves as a core member of the San Francisco Unified School District and UC Berkeley Research-Practice Partnership. His research focuses on building trust and scaling the impact of research-practice partnerships and Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR). Brian brings experience as a former high school educator and nonprofit community health manager. His research interests include YPAR, community-engaged research, adolescent health and well-being, and health equity.
