PROFILE

Perla Maiolino, Ph.D., moved to the University of Oxford in September 2018 as associate professor in the Engineering Science Department and a member of Oxford Robotics Institute.

She had previously completed a BEng, MEng and Ph.D. in the department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering at the University of Genova in Italy, where she worked primarily on the technological aspects of tactile sensing, and the development of large-area tactile sensors for robots. She then worked as postdoc at the University of Cambridge, where she investigated aspects related to soft sensing and soft robotics.
