Kelly Ziemer
Kelly Ziemer, Ph.D., is a psychotherapist, researcher, teacher, and writer whose work explores the very heart of being human—the emotions that drive us, that hold us back, and that set us free. She is an Assistant Professor in the Developmental and Educational Psychology department at Leiden University in the Netherlands. She has developed a self-care training module for psychology students to improve their own self-awareness and practice with various coping tools, and she has been funded to initiate a broader conversation about self-care and well-being via a podcast series and panel at the university. Kelly regularly gives lectures and trainings on self-love and self-care, mindfulness, and emotion awareness for therapists, nonprofits, and corporations. She maintains a small private therapy practice seeing clients in Amsterdam and online in New York City.
