PROFILE

Aaliyah El-Amin, Ed.D., is a former 4th- and 5th-grade teacher and elementary school instructional specialist. She is currently a lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her research and teaching focus on Black education, the development of critical consciousness, critical pedagogy in schools, and qualitative research methods. Dr. El-Amin is the co-author of Educating for Justice (2025) and Critical Consciousness: A Key to Student Achievement (2017).
