Join our community gratitude journal.

We are grateful to our son’s teacher, for her thoughtful evaluation and for being our partner in his education.  Her dedication, talents, and support are wonderful.

Welcome to our community gratitude journal, open to all who’d like to express their thanks or share a happy thought.

Here’s how it works: every week we post a photo submitted by one of our readers along with all the happy and thankful comments gathered throughout the week.

To contribute, email your gratitude (a sentence or two would be great) or your favorite photo to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

You can also contribute by commenting at the bottom of this post.  Please include: your name if you’d like us to use it and any other info you’d like us to list, e.g., if the “gratitude” is from one of your children, it would be great to know his or her age.

I am happy that my daughter who struggled and often didn’t pass most classes in 7th and 8th grade, is now earning all A’s and A-‘s in an outstanding online charter school: Open High School of Utah.

Last night my 7 year old son, Ben told me that I “make the best cucumbers ever.”  I’m so grateful to finally be recognized for my culinary expertise!

I am grateful for a sweet sleeping toddler and that my spouse is out right now listening to good live music .....it will lift her spirit and that makes me happy.

I am grateful for our community’s paved roads. It is a little thing that has made a big difference in my life.

I am grateful for the excitement in my son’s entire being when he woke up to his world covered in a thick blanket of snow. Who needs technology when there are snow sculptures to build?

I am grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life! Family, friends, co-workers…they are all amazing and have truly touched my life!

I’m grateful for your podcast “Does Your Parenting Match Your Child?” - it really helped me to relax and not put so much pressure on myself (like when I say to myself “i’m gonna screw up my boys if I don’t do X and Y and Z, etc” :D).

I am grateful my 10yr. old son and his closest friend enjoy playing with trucks and cars. In the garden, at the beach, on the hardwood floor, they create a non-electronic play world of such deep satisfaction!

My sister told me this morning she is grateful we have heat. Where she usually stays in India is really cold.

I am grateful for another day of loving and another day living.

I’m grateful for this Gratitude Journal; it’s my favorite column of the Greater Good Center site because it’s genuinely what people have experienced. I look forward to it every Friday.
Thank you Janine.
