Gratitude Journal: Thankful for Family

January 25, 2013 | Gratitude Journal | 0 comments

What are you grateful for?

Got Gratitude? Share it here!

Welcome to our community gratitude journal, open to all who’d like to express their thanks or share a happy thought.

We’re always on the lookout for happy photos of you and your loved ones—or simply photos of something that makes you grateful. Send them to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu.

I’m grateful that I can get my kids to eat veggies just by putting a platter of them, raw, in the middle of the table and handing everybody a taco shell with a little cheese inside.
Cindy

Short list: that I got lucky and finally found someone who would put up with me to marry, that I got lucky and had two awesome kids, that I got lucky and had lots of fun jobs before semi-retiring to do this.
Heather

I’m happy that my dad is proud of me.

I am thankful to have finished the appellate argument I prepared for the last two weeks! And it was fun!
Liz

“I’m grateful that I was forced to do several things I was terrified of in the past few months. Everything turned out fine, and some of those scary things actually ended up being fun; all of the “facing my fear” moments were enlightening experiences in one way or another.
Jessica

I am grateful I found this website and can begin my journey toward a meaningful life.
Rosie deCosmo

I’m thankful that we found a babysitter for tomorrow night.
Oakland Mom

I’m grateful for my support system—my husband, my kids, my immediate family, my extended family, and my friends.
Janine Kovac

Every week we post a photo submitted by one of our readers along with all the happy and thankful comments gathered throughout the week.

To contribute, email your gratitude (a sentence or two would be great) or your favorite photo to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu

You can also contribute gratitudes by commenting at the bottom of this post. Please include: your name if you’d like us to use it and any other info you’d like us to list, e.g., if the “gratitude” is from one of your children, it would be great to know his or her age.
