What are you grateful for?

Got Gratitude? Share it here!

Welcome to our community gratitude journal, open to all who’d like to express their thanks or share a happy thought.

We’re always on the lookout for happy photos of you and your loved ones—or simply photos of something that makes you grateful. Send them to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu.

I’m grateful that we got to spend the holidays with family and got to spend time with our wonderful cousins and grandparents!

Yesterday, my daughter-in-law shared that she was in awe of the beauty of a winter wonderland scene unfolding before her as she was slowly driving to work. Yesterday, I was thankful for good health and a warm sunny day miles away as I raked the last of our falling autumn ...

I’m grateful that my kindergartner entertained herself these last couple of days when I was sick and needed to rest.

GJ gratefulness, one friend is lovingly sharing her 84 yr-old husband’s last days. He’s ready and she’s accepted the fact that his cancer is terminal. Across town, after ten long years and a difficult pregnancy, another friend and her husband are joyfully awaiting the birth of their first child. Thus the cycle of life is completed and begun and the connective thread is love.

I am grateful for the overwhelming support from my husband, family and friends to help me get through breast cancer surgery and treatment.

I’m grateful for a safe trip home with everyone in tact and snacks leftover from the drive.

Every week we post a photo submitted by one of our readers along with all the happy and thankful comments gathered throughout the week.

To contribute, email your gratitude (a sentence or two would be great) or your favorite photo to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu

You can also contribute gratitudes by commenting at the bottom of this post. Please include: your name if you’d like us to use it and any other info you’d like us to list, e.g., if the “gratitude” is from one of your children, it would be great to know his or her age.
