We need photos! Send us your pics of your Halloween costumes!

I’m happy my friend said, “Let’s take our kids to the pumpkin patch!” And then set a date. We probably wouldn’t have gone otherwise. What a wonderful afternoon we had!

I am grateful for my beautiful paper birch tree in all it’s glorious fall color!

I am grateful for Halloween—it is fun to see the kids get so excited about pumpkins and costumes.

I am grateful for my kind, generous and inspiring friends.  They lift my spirits with their humour, warmth and compassion.  I feel very lucky!!

We read much about empowering victims of bullies and I’m glad there is help for them.  But I am especially thankful for those patient teachers, coaches, and counselors and others who work with bullies so they can change and learn empathy for others and like themselves and feel valued.

I am grateful for being in the presence of love and family. And hugs from my sister-friend’s beautiful daughter! smile

I’m so proud of my niece, Tara Trudell, a single mom who decided to go back to college. Tara was awarded the prestigious Seabury Fellowship for the second year in a row. She’s a great role-model for her four active kids.

I’m grateful that my brother is such a great uncle to my kids. And changes diapers, too! What a bonus.

Every week we post a photo submitted by one of our readers along with all the happy and thankful comments gathered throughout the week.

To contribute, email your gratitude (a sentence or two would be great) or your favorite photo to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu

You can also contribute gratitudes by commenting at the bottom of this post. Please include: your name if you’d like us to use it and any other info you’d like us to list, e.g., if the “gratitude” is from one of your children, it would be great to know his or her age.
