Welcome to our community gratitude journal, open to all who’d like to express their thanks or share a happy thought.

I’m grateful that mama Breeze is well after the birth of her precious baby girl, that Sun is pleased by the arrival of his baby sister, that papa Oliver now has two darling children, and Elke and Jochen have two beautiful grandchildren!

I’m grateful that we are making the time to lunch with grandparents.

I am grateful that with two kids and two jobs and all of the complications of life my husband and I are somehow communicating better than ever and are making “us time” a priority.

I’m so thankful many family members were able to join us for a wonderful birthday celebration.  I’m thankful for the love of my family members.

I’m so happy I could go skipping down the street: an X-ray taken today showed my husband’s fractured hip is almost healed!
Thankful Wife

I’m grateful for leisurely road trips and rest areas. Who would have thought that 3 days in the car with small children would be relaxing? I’m also grateful for snack catchers, sippy cups, and coloring books.

We need photos! Every week we post a photo submitted by one of our readers along with all the happy and thankful comments gathered throughout the week.

To contribute, email your gratitude (a sentence or two would be great) or your favorite photo to Janine at janinek@berkeley.edu

You can also contribute by commenting at the bottom of this post.  Please include: your name if you’d like us to use it and any other info you’d like us to list, e.g., if the “gratitude” is from one of your children, it would be great to know his or her age.
