I am so grateful to have found this website! And I’m grateful for the people in my lives and the experiences I encounter.  I know that there’s nothing I could buy on Black Friday that would make a difference.

I am grateful to have a husband who would think to buy our son a whoopee cushion.  The volume of laughter that’s come from that one farting toy has enlivened our home.

I’m so happy that after 2+ years of chronic illness, a doctor figured out the problem and solved it with two simple supplements.  Amazing!

I am grateful for the parents who become involved in their child’s preschool programs, building collaborative teacher/parent relationships, for they are often “my” most appreciated teachers.

I am grateful for having someone to take me to and take me home from my surgery. I am grateful for the people that show they care about me and wanting to know how I am. I am grateful that I have the ability to have this surgery to fix my small problems and that I can be confident that I am getting the best care possible.

I’m grateful that even though I’m divorced, I have a warm and light-hearted relationship with my children’s wonderful father.
Mother of 2 daughters

Recently my daughter has been teaching me a lot about gratitude.  She has been having extensive dental problems after a fall on cement.  Her outlook on it is that she is super lucky to have two dentists when some people have none.

My two sweet young ladies are my inspiration and my strength to live after their father died in a car accident. And I am very thankful to have them.

I’m happy that my brother-in-law and his family can be with our in-laws on Thanksgiving, as we are unable to travel this year.

I am grateful that my beloved little dog, Cassie is still with me on this day.  She has had many health challenges but I receive her presence each and every day grateful for all she is teaching me about loving through the decline that comes with age, illness and the impermanence that is all of our reality.
Lynn, Blessed human companion of a little Yorkie named Cassie

I am grateful for the excitement in my son’s entire being when he woke up to his world covered in a thick blanket of snow. Who needs technology when there are snow sculptures to build?

I’m grateful for your podcast “Does Your Parenting Match Your Child?” - it really helped me to relax and not put so much pressure on myself (like when I say to myself “i’m gonna screw up my boys if I don’t do X and Y and Z, etc” :D).
Yulia

I am grateful my 10yr. old son and his closest friend enjoy playing with trucks and cars. In the garden, at the beach, on the hardwood floor, they create a non-electronic play world of such deep satisfaction!

I’m grateful for this Gratitude Journal; it’s my favorite column of the Greater Good Center site because it’s genuinely what people have experienced. I look forward to it every Friday.
Thank you Janine.
