A critical perspective to the work of building a fair and inclusive society.

Produced by the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society. 

Building and sustaining a society centered on inclusion is more essential than ever. The changing political landscape in the US and the world has made our work and our values both critical and urgent. We need deeper, more connected movements and innovative ideas to collectively combat climate change, toxic inequality, racism, misogyny, homophobia, Islamophobia, and the global rise of exclusionary and authoritarian institutions and politics—all manifestations of extreme Othering. We must not only understand the underlying structural dynamics that gave rise to these forces, we must also protect the people targeted or made vulnerable by them as well.

This conference aims to do just that.
