In Give and Take, Adam Grant highlights what effective networking, collaboration, influence, negotiation, and leadership skills have in common. His book draws on pioneering research in work place interactions as he explores how “takers,”—who strive to get as much as possible from others—“matchers,”—who aim to trade evenly—and “givers”—the rare breed of people who contribute to others without expecting anything in return—are able to inspire or impede success in individuals, organizations and communities.
