Being Mindfully Self-Compassionate: A Daylong Retreat

This retreat will be taught by two licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) who are a certified compassion cultivation training (CCT) teachers through Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE).

In this day-long retreat, we will engage in mindfulness and self-compassion meditation practices and exercises, along with periods of inquiry and group discussions to deepen our experience of kind and compassionate acts for oneself. Asilomar, known as Monterey’s “Refuge by the Sea,” overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Asilomar State Beach, providing a serene setting for contemplation & reflection. No prior meditation experience needed to register.
