Listen to Greater Good on City Visions Radio Tonight!

Why do people give to others? Is generosity motivated by self-interest? Biology? Religion?

Those are some of the questions I'll be addressing tonight on a panel on the San Francisco-based public radio program City Visions. The show will air live from 7-8pm. Those in the San Francisco Bay Area can listen on the public radio station KALW, 91.7 FM. Those outside the area can tune in through the show's website, www.cityvisionsradio.com.

Tonight's show will explore the science and practice of giving and altruism. The panel will also include UC Berkeley sociologist (and Greater Good Science Center executive committee member) Robb Willer and Gayle Zahler, the associate director of Jewish Family and Children's Services in SF.

The show has a call-in segment for listeners, so definitely dial in with any comments or questions. Should be a lively and provocative discussion. If you don't get your call on the air, feel free to comment here!
