Entry templates

From GoodWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Our goal is to provide the following information in each entry:

  • Name of characteristic
  • A brief definition/overview
  • Often-cited or new studies with accompanying summaries. (At minimum, a couple “if you read anything, read…” types of texts, or some recent publications, on a given topic. Ideally we'll have a mix of classic and new texts for each topic.) We ask that contributors list references in APA citation style. See UC Berkeley Library's guide to APA style for examples.
  • Other sources of information like links to centers, labs, and/or researchers who study the topic; datasets that measure it; etc.
  • References. (All of the sources contributors actually used for this page of the Goodwiki.)

See Compassion & Empathy as an example of a particularly informative topic page entry.

The wiki code required to set up these sections is below. These formats can be copied directly from here and pasted into any edit fields. They will resemble the other wiki pages once "saved" and, if enough sections are included, a table of contents will automatically generate. Please note: the text below in parentheses is not part of the coding--it's our notes to you. Please delete these notes before finalizing any pages that you create.

Please see the GoodWiki Starting Point page for more information about wiki coding.
